THE G SPOT
KINGSTON, ONTARIO
Who would have thought that sitting around Quebec Street, listening to the likes of POISON while tipping a few back may have led to the discovery of a passage back through time. I don't think any of us were prepared for just how much 80s gear Kingston had tucked away in drawers, closets, and probably even garbage bags. I can't help but be left with the feeling that it wasn't like the 80s or didn't remind me of the 80s... It was the 80s. People in brightly-coloured "fashions" danced to new wave hits in all corners of the bar. It was incredible. Legwarmers, white chunky earrings, big hair... Just about every loved/loathed element of the 80s was represented proudly on New Years' Eve 2004. The music was awesome - both on and off the stage. The G Spot Staff did an incredible job decorating the place for the party, and ensuring that there was an abundance of lamentable tunes on the boombox (Take on Me and When Doves Cry were my personal fave trax). Thank you so much to everyone who had a hand in putting the evening together - you did a great job and everbody seemed to have had a fantastic evening!!! The pictures be Living Proof. |
